So my letter didn't reach my boss.
I was waiting to see if she would ask me to go into her room to talk to me about her talk with "her boss".
It was only when I went in to ask her something else that she spoke to me about it.
She said she has gotten special permission from her boss that I'll definitely get early release if I have found a job that I really want to go. But who is there to guarantee that this would happen? There's no black and white, just that she said HR manager is already informed that I want to resign.
She kept saying that she understand how I'm feeling now, because she also went through all the different roles in the food industry before she settled down in this line. I was thinking no you don't, you have no idea how much I hate the system in this company.
She said the HR manager raised a good point, which is in case I don't find a job within this 3 months' notice, I'll end up as jobless. When HR looks at the resume of a person who is jobless and another who is still working, they would prefer the one still working because something may have happened to the person who is jobless (like resign because he/she did something wrong). So she strongly advised me not to quit first.
And she said although her boss know that I'm going to resign, she's going to push for my promotion/upgrading. Like again.
The conclusion is, I can openly find jobs, but I can't tell people that I have told my boss that I want to resign and she has guaranteed me early release.
I'll just wait and see if I'll get promoted in January, and whether I really get early release. If the early release doesn't come true, there nothing much to say about this company anymore. No point staying.
And yesterday, she sent me a promotion justification file for me to fill it in myself. I was like what the hell, aren't you supposed to be the one filling it in??? The file includes current jobscope, new position jobscope, justification of promotion and work performance. I only filled in the first and the last, if she can't be bothered to help me write it tells a lot of things. Still put it so nicely "I think you know your own work performance best".
Sigh I need to call up all the jobs I"ve applied in the last month and ask for the status of the opening.....
